Imagine sitting in the lounge looking out of a picture window 8 metres wide floor to ceiling watching golfers play the green at the par 3 second with its infamous extremely deep bunkers. All of this just approx. 20 yards away.

What do you get at the 2nd Green Self Catering?

Firstly - Location and VIEW!

Over the course you can see the Dornoch Firth right across to the lighthouse at Tarbatness and Portmahomack. All this in a modern split level house set in secluded garden grounds just a short stroll to Royal Dornoch Golf Club house. The town centre with shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants are close by at approximately 10 minutes walk.

Prices

Self Catering at the 2nd Green (sleeps up to 6) costs £95 per day in winter, £145 per day in summer (minimum of 4 days).

House and facilities

Sleeps up to 6 people in 3 rooms with super king or twin beds - 2 overlook course

The house is split level and has a large lounge running the length of the building with floor to ceiling windows. At the entrance level there is a dining room with seating for 8 and well appointed kitchen with a full height fridge freezer, a built in dishwasher and cooker with double oven and ceramic hob. Gas central heating. There is cutlery, crockery and glassware for 12 people. Microwave, filter coffee maker, toaster, and ample pots, pans, bowls and serving dishes for the cook.

Also on the ground floor is a small cloakroom and a superking/twin bedroom with en suite shower/toilet facilities. A half flight of stairs leads to the lounge from which patio doors open to a garden area beside the 2nd green. The lounge has ample comfortable seating for at least eight people. There is a flat screen TV with DVD player and Sports Channels, and a stereo system with CD player. There is a log effect electric fire with very realistic flames and convection heat.

A further half flight of stairs has a spacious family bathroom with bath and shower over, toilet and bidet on the half landing. On the top floor are two superking/twin bedrooms, one of which has a TV and an en suite shower/toilet. The other has private use of the family bathroom. There are bathrobes available. The views from these rooms stretch across the golf course, Dornoch Firth and the Black Isle.

Outside there is a paved and sheltered patio area with table and chairs which is perfect for a barbeque.

The Old Bank House

By contrast with the 2nd Green our other self catering offering is in Dornoch centre was built in1899 and is now a Grade 2 listed building that was historically the bank and has been developed from the original banking rooms into a very large one bedroom self catering apartment. As a result the rooms are have high ceilings, are airy and spacious and to further help you to relax, you have a comfortable bedroom with superking bed (can be converted to twin). The en-suite bathroom has a luxury walk in shower, bidet and toilet, large vanity unit and best of all a spa bath.
